Just taking a straw poll here.
Dave suggested that maybe we try the hologram pass around.
Again here is how it goes.
Those interested, send me your hologram(s) (there will be a deadline date) Hopefully something you made. It does not have to be your best work and something that if it gets damaged by transport or a fellow holographer's dog mistakes it as a milk bone you won't get too bummer. It does not have to be a recent peice of work. I will package them in a neat case that will be well protected.
Then via a spreadsheet that will be posted here, the name of each holographer will be shown with the ETA as to when you should recieve the package.
I will send them out to the first on the list (most likely local like Bob)
A time limit will be set, say 10 days upon recieving, then you send it to the next guy (or girl?).
Overseas may have to be last on the list but I hope they can be included
At the end of the 10 days, the member would hopefully write a small review, what did they like. what suggestions can be made (I very much hope the senior gurus will get involved so we can all learn from their vast experience)
At the end of the tour, one of us can display the lot at a local library (or strip club or whatever)
Then they all go back
I would also encourage trading holograms:)
Please let me know who would be willing to try this.
If there are say 10 people willing to commit by 10/10/12 then it's a go, otherwise we'll concider this dead
Thanks.
Tony
PS
I'm in
I will send out 2 DCG holograms

I am interested, but unless a small miracle happens I will not be able to meet your 10/10/12 deadline with the "artistic" piece I am working on in my spare time. I have no expectation that my pieces will blow anyone away - mainly I believe the comments/suggestions would be most beneficial.

Holomark, I think Tony is only asking for a yes/no from at least ten holographers by 10 Oct to continue with the project, not to submit a hologram by then.
This would be a great way to really appreciate what others are doing.

Hi Holomark, John is correct. Just taking a straw poll on who is interested. A deadline just helps either kill the idea or move it forward. Also, it is your choice to either make a new hologram or just one that represents your work that you made in the pass.holomark wrote:I am interested, but unless a small miracle happens I will not be able to meet your 10/10/12
Danny not sure why your reacting this way, you are welcome to take part. I don't always agree with some of your post but no one is kicking you out.

You can count me in. Even if I don't have "the one" to my liking I can find another to add.

Just doing my due diligence on this non contest, hologram pass around.
Only one week left to see if we can get 10 holographers to participate.
Right now we have 5
If your intested please throw in your hat.
If not, we may want to consider removing this catagory

How about posting it on the FaceBook holography group?
