Did you try rotating the detector? Could be polarization.

Some of its Helium may have diffused out. You could try putting it in a bag full of Helium and running it for a couple of days. Some of the outside Helium may diffuse back in. Good luck.

Laser Bit

While experimenting with a PL530 , I felt a bug stinging me on my belly. It wasn't a bug - it was the laser. Be careful!
